What, you expect Hollywood to come up with ORIGINAL IDEAS all the time or something? It's all about the FRANCHISE now, baby! If it's worth doing, it's worth doing as at least a trilogy of movies, novelizations, TV series, a video game, a DTV, behind-the-scenes documentaries about the "science" or "history" behind it, and maybe a graphic novel tie-in. Get with the program!

.
That said, I am kind of curious to see this.
The Animatrix had some impossibly cool moments in it (and a few that made even less sense than the second and third movies), and adding some European animators to it would be really cool, IMO.
Besides, Aardman has already done
their version of the Terminator and he was awesome. I would be curious to see what they'd come up with for a DTV like this -- could be a parody, a version of "Creature Comforts" set in the Terminator world, or a comedic short set in the world, or even something serious. I remember some stop-motion sequences in the original
Terminator movie, so getting something out of Aardman would be a nice throwback to the one that started it all.
