Toon Zone Talkback - "South Park" Season 12: More Messages, Fewer Laughs

Season 12 was a pretty good season with great episodes like "Tonsil Trouble", "Major Boobage", "Eek, A Penis", "Super Fun Time", "Breast Cancer Show Ever", "Elementary School Musical", and "The Ungroundable", while the rest are merely average while one is pretty damn bad.

Not the best season, but it does prove South Park should focus more on smaller scale stories and less on the social commentary, as it works better when you don't expect it. But with SP, you almost always expect it, because they've recently relied so heavily on it.

That said, can't wait for season 13!

The first half of season 12 was good. The 2nd half was pretty weak aside from "Breast Cancer Show Ever." Only one was outright terrible though ("China Probrem").

Looking forward to the season 13 premiere tomorrow!

South Park is about the biggest "hit or miss" show that you'll ever come accross. One episode will be the funniest thing you've seen on tv in a month. And then you won't see another good episode until a month later.

The first few episodes were pretty much hit and miss, but then the second half was at first started off poorly with that Indiana Jones episode (which I still try my best to erase the images out of my head), but then they managed to pop up out of nowhere with some good episodes, my personal favorites being "Breast Cancer Show Ever" for its mixture of the good from old and new episodes, it felt, and "Ungroundable" it just an epic win for me. You do not know how happy I was to see the goths burn down HotTopic. The bash towards this emo/scene/mallgoth trend was just spot on and well deserved.

I won't lie, I liked "Tonsil Trouble" because... I liked the K/C moments. *murdered*
