This is the talkback thread for "Simpsons," "King of the Hill" Dominate WGA Nominations.

"Homer of Seville" is nominated for a writing award. Yes, you read that correctly.

How that can possibly be viewed as outstanding writing, let alone "not a candidate for worst episode ever", is beyond me. I can accept that someone liked it, but... man.

I agree, bad choice for a Simpsons episode, but at least it's not the only one nominated. I'll be pleased if either "Haw-Hawed Couple" or "Stop! Or My Dog Will Shoot!" win, as I enjoyed both of those.

King of the Hill's "Lucky's Wedding" is a good episode, too. Wouldn't mind seeing that get something.

Homer of Seviile shouldn't be nominated for or by anything. Unless they had an animation writing equivvilant of the razzies. Now that one where Marge and the Criminal played by Steve Buschemi would be a better fit.

"The Haw-Hawed Couple" definitely deserves its nomination for the Writer's Guild award, but I have to know: was there ever a year where the Simpsons WEREN'T nominated multiple times for this?
