This is the talkback thread for "Shonen Onmyouji": It Exists to Make Other Anime Feel Better About Themselves.



Note to anime companies: No matter how many times you send this series to us, I'm pretty sure we'll still hate it. Pretty soon it'll be Maxie and Ed as the only ones who HAVEN'T reviewed the series yet, and you don't want them reviewing this show...
 
I haven't seen this one, but given the variety of the staff that's slammed it, I'd be just as harsh. You know, there was something to be said for ADV's old pattern of sending stuff out maybe once and never beyond the first few volumes at best. If a show sucked, you didn't have to have to sludge through the whole trainwreck.
 
Ive read some of the manga for this, and i thought that was horrible, so this doesn't surprise me.

anyway, i dont get how the protagonist is a "shonen protagonist" like the review says, i say this because the light novel its based on is targeted to women and the manga version is in a shojo mag, so how is the anime shonen?

Wow, opinon's really can be radically different.

I've actually seen a clip for the dub of this and it seems to waver between sounding "okay" and sounding like they're clearly reading off a script
