Toon Zone Talkback - NYCC2009: VIZ Media Panel Report

I will find it pretty funny if Naruto goes down the same line as some of the other DVD's/series that they never finished and they just stick with putting it up online.

I think this probably qualifies as Shippuden dub news:

Considering that the subtitled episodes that are coming out "as fast as possible" are Shippuden episodes.....there you go, I think.

They're really stepping it up for the Naruto manga. It's going to be very close to the current story by the time they are done.

It's about bloody time, too.

Aww. I hope they continue to publish One Piece Color Walk, though. I have the first book and it's very spiffy.

I actually asked about that when I was there, and that's what they mean't by the fact that they are working on the dub, but they are just more focused on releasing the subs at a fast pace. I was also the one to ask them about L:Change the World, the third live action Death Note film, which they do plan to release.

So Im guessing since thers wasn't any real News on the Shippuden Dub it most likely won't be Coming to CN/AS, at least not This year.

I was hoping they would at least give us a Date for the 1st Dubbed Shippuden DVRAB! Oh well I Guess they'll Make an announcment through SJ or some conviention eventually. ...Hopefully!

The thing is, they still have a ways to go before part one is completely released on DVD. So Shippuden DVD's really do seem like a long ways off by default.

Are they going to license more anime?
And I'm surprsed no bleach annocments. werid.
I guess once the shippuden subs are caught up we should be getting a dub annocment. with 8 episodes a week that should not take too long.

It would seem strange to me if they try to bring more anime over, or should I say I hope they don't bring more over.

I'm afraid if they bring some series over and they don't do as well as planed that they would pretty much put them on indefinite hiatus/drop the series.

This seems to have happened to 2 of my favorite shounen manga-to-anime series that they licensed, M

Provided these aren't just empty promises, I look forward to whatever they plan to do with Hikaru no Go. Monster, too.

Also the next time they have one of these things, will someone pretty please ask them what happened to ZoiRAB Genesis. I know it's probably long gone and they don't care anymore, but I hold out a tiny bit of hope that they will do something with it someday. >_

AFAIK, Viz has the license here too. It was supposed to air on Toonami Jetstream, which obviously never happened. I also recall a year or so ago Viz was giving out advertisements for it at a local convention, I still have the flyer somewhere. I think it used to be on their list of shows somewhere as well.

In any case, they either don't have the license anymore or they are still sitting on it. In which I'd like to know if they are ever going to do something with it or if they just dubbed it for nothing.
