FYI: this feature is playing at the Seattle Int'l Film Festival as well. See siff.net for details. http://www.siff.net/festival/film/detail.aspx?id=27406&FID=64

Saw this feature this afternoon. I give it 4.5/5!
Very imaginative and worthy of repeated viewings. Here's hoping for a dvd release. If you liked Persepolis, you'd love this feature.

FYI: the powers that be are trying to release a downloadable sdtk for this project. The score is amazing. Whether or not they can include the jazz recordings is another matter.

The film website is offering free hi-res posters for copy & print purposes.

It's a shame this feature is receiving such little run in the States. It only had 2 screenings here in Seattle. We can only hope for a dvd release.

I'm pretty bummed that I wasn't able to catch a screening of the movie at Tribeca, or meet up with Nina Paley for a face-to-face interview. She was also getting over a really nasty cold and the general flurry of Tribeca, so our e-mail communications were pretty brief. Hopefully we'll be able to link up for something more substantive soon.
