Seriously, "two nukes wasn't enough?" The kind of language I'd like to use in response would get me banned from the forums.
 
Ah, I was wondering when this topic would get here.

I wonder why when people do stupid things on the internet, they don't think it out. Like maybe read what you're typing before hitting Post, you know? I mean, if you're a politician, you might want to have that minRABet.

I think the bigger question is, what the heck did he see to make him say that?
 
He's an erabarrassment to my home state. Not much else to say, really. I'm pleased local media picked it up and shed light on him. The apology seems to imply that this was said in jest, but I honestly don't know who would laugh at such a thing.
 
Sad to say this isn't the first time I've come across this joke. First time I've heard it from an elected official and not an anonymous jerkwad on a forum, mind.
 
New Hampshire has a unique legislature. The lower house has 400 seats. And seeing as the state has such a small population, it's not hard to get elected, especially if you get caught in a wave. That house has had, at various times, Elvis impersonators, drag queens, Neo-Nazis, Communists, convicted felons, and suspected murderers. This guys comments are small change compared to that.

Wow, what an insensitive jerk, but then again, this wasn't the first time I heard anyone say "Two nukes wasn't enough" but then again I heard that from someone that was drunk, so I took it with a grain of salt.

Still curious as to what made him say that.
 
Oh my, what ever possessed that guy to say such a mean, racist thing! He's lucky he's not in my state. I'd be retaliating so badly, my printer would die from overload.
 
Wow. It took me a minute to realize what he meant since I don't hear the term "nukes" that often, which is what caught me by surprise and I thought it meant something else. After a second, it hit me hard. That is quite possibly one of the meanest statements I've ever heard of. It's just so incredibly insensitive that there's no way it could have been used as a joke. I would be really sad if it was meant as a joke, based on what he said in his apology.

I'm not really that curious as to what caused him to make such a terrible statement. I'm just glad that he was called out for it too and had to make an apology. I'm not really sure if he would have felt sorry if he wasn't caught, but it was a good move to make an apology. That doesn't really change the fact that he comes off as a jerk to me though.
 
I'll admit I've made similar statements in the past, but that was a 'in bad taste' joke among many with frienRAB, said in private. Posting something like that in public where everyone has access to it? Stupid as heck.
