Toon Zone Talkback - Media Profits: "Shrek" Lifts DreamWorks; Studio Shifts 2010 Release Schedule

They should call it The Fifth Shrek and make it an extended parody of Fifth Element. They could then follow it with send-ups of The Sixth Sense and The Seventh Seal.

Or, er, maybe not.

Wow. Now that is seriously overkill. Even five films was kind of pushing it, but eight movies is way too much. I haven't even seen the second or third Shrek films and I don't plan on doing so. I did see the first one on television once and it wasn't a bad movie. I just thought that it wasn't that good for all the hype it gets. Besides that, it felt that it could have ended right there without all of the sequels. I agree with you on how a television series would work out better than all of those movies, especially with how they'll run out of reused jokes and pop culture references for each movie.

It's too bad that their movie called How to Train a Dragon was pushed back to 2010. It sounded like an interesting movie and I would have actually gone to see it, instead of waiting for it to come on television, mainly because of I how I really like dragons. Plus, it sounded like it would be something more worthwhile to see than another Shrek movie.

I can pretty much guess the next titles...

Shrek takes the Fifth

The Sixth Shrek-sense-Shrek

Shrek 7: Shrek goes to the WACKY Dentist

and "Why was Shreks afraid of Seven, because Shrek 8 9!"

Yeah.... Over kill isn't even the word. More like Kattsenburg changed his motto to "Four legs good, two legs better" and became just like the same Eisner he left Disney for. A Puss in Boots movie I'm looking forward to, I admit, but how many things are they going to try to make sound funny coming out of Gingerbreadman's mouth?

ugh, it's the land before Time disease again.. . I wonder if Shrek will break LBT's record of sequels... and have a series..*groan*
