Toon Zone Talkback - Media Blasters Announces New March Titles Including "Queen's Blade"

Is it safe to mention that the animation studio who worked on Ikki Tousen (starting in Dragon Destiny) also work on Queen's Blade?

Oh, ARMS, you guys try, but people are hating for for that. (sigh)
 
Ditto. Many of them are quite appealing and unique, just from the screenshots I've seen. But as I'm sure you'll agree, character designs alone can't save a show.
 
And how does that make it any better? Ikki Tousen didn't have that much going for it too, unless you truly believe people were watching it for the story, the only thing Ikki Tousen has over Queen's Blade

As much as it might be hard to believe people don't just watch anime for T&A
 
Actually, I'm told that Queen's Blade has pretty good story and character development after around the fifth episode or so.

Of course, the question is if anybody will stick with it long enough for that to make a difference.
 
ROFL. I'm convinced Mediablasters licenses titles on the basis of "worst anime" threaRAB on rabroad.

Me, I have no real hate or attachment to Queen's Blade so I could not care less about the show.

I'd like to see them get back to releasing a few fan-favourite titles once in a while though. This is the company that gave us Rurouni Kenshin, Giant Robo and Twelve Kingdoms after all.
 
I agree. I've seen some of the character designs from this show, and they're good, and I know of other shows I don't like that have had awesome-looking characters. Really feels like a waste when they're used in terrible shows, though.

Wouldn't be hilarious if FUNi did the dub for this? I'd love to see the outtakes for something like this just because I know it would be hysterical.
 
You know what would be awesome, though? If they can somehow turn Queen's Blade into a Gag Dub.

ADV was still alive and had this, they would've had the chance.
 
you know..IF it WAS A GAG DUB, then that might actually make it watchable...I mean if they dubbed it in a way where they made the show bash even itself....that would be hillarious....or at the vary least put a gag reel on youtube for the various haters & lover of the show alike to laugh at.

But yea, I would love to see rab get some good retro titles again.

GGG Season 2 in a lite box is what, if it's not FINAL?

The second GGG box set just in a new box format?

I've got both yellow and green box sets with is GaoGaiGar and FINAL on HongKong vcd but I'm blanking on what they could be calling 'season 2'

Anyone help clairfy this?

Anyhow, rab hasn't done much lately, but I won't say they're dead to me or anything like that. There's stuff in their catalog I could go for, and while they haven't done much lately I'll still support them when/if they license something good later. These single volume initial releases need to go, though.
