Toon Zone Talkback - "Johnny Test" Getting New Episodes

Thought the 4th was the LAST season, they already know that this is just another way to torture us with their bad writing and animation.

Perhaps Cookie Jar wants to have enough episodes of Johnny Test to enter syndication (although I would have thought that they were there already).

In any case, I've been watching the season 4 premieres when I thought that Test was going to wrap after afterward, but another season? I don't think I have it in me...

I think Johnny Test's producers just want to pull an Aqua Teen Hunger Force and say that their show has made it to 100 episodes, since so few animated shows reach that number.

But yeah, I have to say that artistically JT is pretty much scraping the bottom of the barrel now; they've already done just about everything on Test, what else can they do for another whole season?

When the fourth season ends, there'll be exactly 65 half-hours, so yeah, it'd be enough to enter syndication if this were back when syndication was a more lively market. Nowadays, 100 episodes is the magic number for syndication cash, so I could see an 8 episode sixth season coming around and then they finish the series...at least I hope so. Season 4 has only been just slightly above the quality of seasons 2 and 3, but it's still nowhere near how it used to be in season 1.

Ironically, if this were still airing on Kids WB, it WOULD be ending this current season (as very few KWB shows lasted past 65 episodes, especially towards the end).

Towards the end, shows were lucky to make it to a third season. I think JT and the Batman were the only ones to make it that far in the last two to three years of Kid's WB.

...

Great, more of the show for kids, by kids. Seriously wasn't this show supposed to be canceled like three times already? It just refuses to die.

But instead of whining about it on the internet and trying to boost my ego by seeming like an internet tough guy for hating on a stupid kids show (since there's nothing I can do about it), I have a master plan to ease my suffering:

I won't watch it. I know it sounds complicated people, but if you follow my plan too, you can save so much unnecessary pain by not voluntary watching a cartoon that you don't enjoy watching.

So another season...I hope it's an improvement from the 4th. Seasons 1 and 2 were pretty funny and Season 3 had some good episodes, but Season 4 was generally terrible. Hopefully they'll come up with some better ideas(for example, getting more use out of the side characters)...

100? Are you counting the double-story episodes as two?

I like Johnny Test. Yeah, I said it. I can't speak for the quality of the new episodes, though, without cable.

Nope. 100 as in 100 half-hours.

Honestly, you're not missing much. Season 4 is exactly like the previous two, with the exception of some subtle animation improvements.

I don't think that would be necessary. I can only speak for myself, but personally, I have no desire whatsoever to see Bumper, Sissy or Gill next door get any more screen time, let alone any fleshed out appearances. I don't give Johnny Test a lot of compliments, but I actually find it to be somewhat admirable how the series has managed to stay afloat for 4 years without feeling the need to rely on gimmicks such as bringing in a bunch of new characters. Test has basically been the same show, with the same emphasis on the same characters since it's beginning. Same deal with Ed, Edd 'n' Eddy, which went throughout it's entire series run without ever introducing a single guest character, save for the finale, in which Eddy's big brother appeared on screen for the 1st (and only) time.
