I've got to say that I seriously enjoyed this serious and I really wish that Hasbro would think of doing something like this again for both GI JOE and Transformers, maybe like in the form of Direct to DVD animated movies aimed more towards adults than kids, or since Hasbro has their new kids channel coming up maybe they could do a kids shows for the daytime evening schedule and then a more adult one for late night. I know if they made it with the same quailty that Resolute had I certainly would watch.

Huh, I always thought that Roadblock laughing as he mowed down Cobra troops was amusing.

What made it lacking to you? Was it the fact that the Joe was so callous and downright vicious to a bunch of enemies or something else? It's not unbecoming of a Real American Hero is relish in the slaughter of the enemy? I mean... they weren't that much of saints towards their Cobra prey. But then again they'd always capture them alive whenever they had the chance.

That said, I can't wait to get this. I was so impressed with it that I do believe it's worth the purchase. I'll probably get it alongside Season 1.2.

Mostly that 1) getting pleasure or amusement in mass killing of your enemies is something the BAD guys do (Snake Eyes is not smiling under his mask when he cuts down all those Cobras), and 2) it's ROADBLOCK doing it. I could even buy it if it were Gung Ho, maybe, but Roadblock is a teddy bear underneath. Most of the other changes worked to update the characters while still leaving them recognizable for old-school fans, but that was just a glaringly un-Roadblock moment.

Resolute definitely wasn't perfect. but I'll say that it was really good. It's without a doubt better than the live G.I.Joe movie. I would've liked to have seen Resolute feature more Baroness. Given that this was for the older G.I.Joe fans (as opposed to the kiddies), one would think a lot of Baroness would be a given.

I personally think Resolute is incredible. It isn't 100% perfect, but then, they had so much to tell in a 60 minute time span that that was impossible. I really think Resolute should have been a 90 minute movie, especially since we needed more screen time for Destro and Baroness, but that is fine, as it is by far the best non-comic book GI Joe story to date. Not to mention they finally found a use for Bazooka. However, the only thing that bothers me is that the show does not know if it wants to be in the comic universe or the animated universe, as it constantly switches back and forth. I mean, Hardmaster being killed by Zartan is clearly from the comics, but Storm Shadow being evil just for the sake of it is from the toon. Same goes for Scarlett's love interest in both Snake-Eyes and Duke. It was Duke in the toon and Snake-Eyes in the comic. Nevertheless, I just think it is great to have Cobra Commander finally be the ruthless bastard he was in the comics.
