Toon Zone Talkback - "Family Guy" Vol. 7 Coming in June

I plan to cut back on how often I pick up DVDs this year but I'll definitely buy this one. Even if I've seen all these episodes a million times before it's always nice to have audio commentaries and scenes that never made it to air on even Adult Swim.

If it wasn't for the last set I wouldn't have seen "The List" from Lois Kills Stewie, which is currently my favorite Family Guy song. :D

Why does FOX release Family Guy on DVD 13 episodes at a time anyway? I know a lot of older, less popular shows are released in installments (The Fugitive, for example), but is there any reason to do this with FG other than to squeeze every last penny out of the show?

Because Family Guy's only been putting out 13 episodes a season lately. The episodes on Volume 7 are EVERYTHING that's going to basically air this season, aside from the next Star Wars episode, which will most likely be sold in a seperate release like Blue Harvest was.

No, it really seems like the the FG seasons are being split up with no rhyme or reason (Volume 5 contains the first 13 episodes of Season Five, but not the last 5), except that FOX wants to grind every last cent out of Family Guy by spreading out the episodes thinner and thinner.

I think it is unfair that they only chuck 13 episodes at a time. 3 bucks an episode is too high. I'll just have to wait until Target has the set for $15 (that's how I got my last set).

On March 25th at 4pm PST (7pm EST) Gopal Shah, FOX Global Research Manager, is hosting a live Family Guy DVD Session! All participants will receive the DVD "Family Guy Presents Stewie Griffin - The Untold Story!" Space for the Session is limited to the first 35 members so please log in early. Gopal has some questions for you that are posted in the Family Guy Activity.

I'll let them now that we are all displeased with the past couple DVD's number of titles
