This is the talkback thread for DreamWorks in Another Legal Battle Over "Kung Fu Panda".

I think that this case might get thrown out. I know that there's a rip-off film in stores now, but I would like to see some more proof that this guy sent this similar idea to Disney.

Also how coincidence that he's suing when the sequel and the tv series is coming. If he has proof that he had shown the idea to Disney in the early 90's since the concept of Kung Fu Panda was being done since 1993.

If the other lawsuit involved someone else claiming that Dreamworks stole the idea of KFP from them, that means, two people came up with the exact same idea, and I think neither case has a chance of winning, because it shows such a concept is not original enough to sue over.

Good point, I find it interesting how the sue-er brings up his idea years after Kung Fu Panda is released. I must admit that I feel sorry for Dreamworks, Kung Fu Panda was an okay film but neither it nor Dreamworks deserve these claims of theft. Though on the bright side its more exposure for DW.
