I didn't care for it, myself. For a first episode, it didn't really suck me into the world or make me feel for the characters. I'll give it another shot next week, but so far, it seems pretty ho-hum to me.
Yea. That ain't gonna happen. FOX doesn't want to rely on programming coming from their competitor. That's why they got 4kids to do it in the first place.
In fact, if they cancel their contract, FOX will probably get another studio to give them programming.
I thought it was a good episode, for the most part. They had a nice balance between action and comedy. The characters were all unique in their own way, and they were easy to like.
I don't really get all the fighting, though. There wasn't an explanation of the symbols or anything.
The 11:00 hour is pretty cool now. Di-Gata followed by Yu-Gi-Oh!. I could get used to that.
Yeah, I know. But I couldn't help thinking to myself "WTF is going on?" It would've been nice to have some explanation of the battle, rather than none at all.
EDIT: And after watching two more episodes, I still don't understand how the magic works. But I would like to know how, and this story itself is pretty good.
By the looks of things the only way you can figure it out without watching all the episodes is by playing the card game and toys.
Not half bad. The production as a whole reminds me of Storm Hawks, with a bit of Avatar: The Last Airbender on the side. Definitively going to watch the next few episodes, to see how it goes.
