Toon Zone Talkback - "Code Geass" Episodes On Bandai's YouTube Channel

Episode 6 - 10 is up now in both sub and dub.

Anyone else really enjoying the early episodes again. It has been so long for me, it is like watching the series all over again.

Thoughts:

Charles is a poor excuse for a human being, threating Lelouch and Nunnally like that. I so agree with Lelouch thinking of what he wants to do to him. I would want to kill him too.

I like Kallen's hair style when she is as Ashford. It seemed like such a long time I seen that.

Suzaku's belief of justice, and wanting to do right, is a wonderful thought. He is very likeable, though stubbern. This was before he became more of a hypocrit.

Irony of irony, the one sister (that is a regular character at least) Lelouch doesn't like at all, Cornelia is more like Lelouch than any of his other sisters. I think there perception of right and wrong is almost the same also. And their volniable or weakness is the same thing. People always say how alike Lelouch and Schnizel are, I think she is more like Lelouch than Schnizel is.

Since this has been an issue for several posters here, the word is that the episodes are now available for Canadian viewers.

Whether they'll go beyond that is anybody's guess, but an improvement is an improvement.

According to ANN (at the bottom of this article) http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/news/2009-03-09/code-geass-r2-naruto-go-on-hiatus-on-u.s-tv Gundam 00 Ep 1, Dub was added today (and I checked and it looks to be true).

I'd like to request and see if someone tell me if this version on YouTube is the SciFi Edit or if it's a complete version of the episode. I don't have time enought tonight to double check the SciFi episode verse the YouTube one but I'm curious to know if the YT is going to be unedited or not.

There's no cuts on the Youtube version. Most obviously the ED is being left completely intact. That pretty much confirms it right there.

Well, Code Geass is infamous for its fanservice.

And its about time Bandai started puting up video for free. Many watch an anime one way or another before they deciede to buy the dvd. Why fight fansubers when you can beat them at their own game. Stream the anime without downloaRAB and people will still buy the dvRAB. TV shows in the US have been doing this for a while now.

Man, looks like I'll be watching Code Geass again. I love this show.

They even have the gundam 00 english dub up as well:

Hey there, you sexy-sexy people, all of Code Geass Season One is up, in addition to more of Gundam 00 (only in American because of some issues).

Stay sexy!

Finished watching the first season.

What the hell were those last ten nine episodes? Dear lord, that's some messed up crap. I'm not sure I can describe what I just saw.

Goodness BANDAI, upload season two already!!

So I watched one episode of Gundam 00 in dub form but I can't say it's grabbed me yet, even with this whole "fight to end fighting" motif going on. Is it too soon to bail? Does it get better?

Considerably. There were alot of folks I know who from the start of the dub didn't like it but by the end of season one adored it. The early episodes are slower because they're establishing the setting. Beyond that, things get much more interesting

In my opinion the first truly good episode is actually #4, but I suppose mileage varies. It's easy to think from the first two to three episodes that the show is following a basic formula where some random local issues come up and the Gundams show up to deal with them, and that's about it...however, it starts exploring characters and tossing out various plot twists once the viewer is adequately introduced to Celestial Being and what it's all about. The show does not stand still, and it does pay off.
