This is the talkback thread for CBR on "Sit Down, Shut Up" Panel at Wondercon.

What an informative read. I'm definitely interested in seeing the show now. I thought the interesting part was how the show is unique in the sense that its not based on a family. The teachers are the main focus and even the students won't be fully detailed, making their presence less important.

Looks like FOX isn't getting some of the jokes. I wonder how much interference they'll have in the show.

This show might be pretty funny, but jeez, that picture sure looks like Bromwell High. The premise is similar too. Although I'm aware that this show was based on a pre-existing show (a live action one from Australia I think?), so I doubt it's intentional.

Was Bromwell High even shown in the US?
(it was a hilarious adult cartoon about a really poor British high school, and it was a co-production between the UK and Canada)

One thing that hasn't been confirmed is if this is Flash or not. I'm nervous Fox is going to try a Flash series as a cost-cutting experiment, and then when people don't latch onto it as well (because Flash just looks cheap and off-putting), Fox will say "no one wants cartoons anymore."

I think it's traditional digital-cel animation. The animation's being handeled by Rough Draft (also an animation house for Futurama) and their Korean studio.

Believe it or not, I wouldn't mind seeing it in Flash, there's been some good shows animated in Flash recently, but maybe it should indeed be traditional, since the only traditonal cartoons I've been liking recently are only from CN.
