This is the talkback thread for "Baraboo Blade" Part 1: The Mighty Sticks.


Interestingly, one of the few jokes I legitimately laughed at is the third image in this review, when two of the girls are encouraging Tamaki to fight Kenzaburo.
 
The second half does get better in terms of the action, but it also features a lengthy interlude focused almost entirely on Tamaki's Power Rangers anime, which was easily my least favorite part of the series (Yuji being painfully aware of how ridiculous Tamaki looks wasn't enough to compensate).

As with a lot of stuff coming out these days, I liked it enough to want to see more in a second season, but not enough to buy the first season and possibly end up with that being all we get.
 
I saw the first episode on Funi's site a while back.

It was pretty amusing, but it does seem pretty run of the mill between the cast interactions. Might watch more since Tamaki seemed like an interesting protaganist, and I never got around to the part where her fanaticism for Toku heroes was explored.
 
Chouken Sentai Blade Braver neeRAB to be a real OVA one day.

Maybe I loved those scenes because I'm a tokusatsu fan. Who knows?
