Toon Zone Talkback - Auditors Express Concern Over Imagi's Financial State

They're not in financial trouble just yet, although the current credit crunch makes right now about the worst possible time to be walking around trying to find money.

Thing is you can't make a Gatchaman movie for an American audience. Hardly anyone in the US watched Gatchaman or even knows what it is.

Yeah, but Gatchaman never even aired on TV in the US. All people ever saw were severely butchered and Americanized versions called Battle of The Planets, G-Force, and Eagle Riders. So it's already a horribly segmented fanbase.

Not to mention they couldn't even keep a director or single writer on Gatchaman at all. Does Gatchaman even have a writer anymore?

I'll be severely surprised if IMAGI makes it out of 2009 intact.

I continue to laugh at the epic fail of IMAGI.

They thought they were so cool with their booth last year at AX and SDCC.

While I don't relish the thought of people losing their jobs, it was clear these guys were in over their heads and did not know what they were doing from the get go.
