I remember an episode of The Super Mario Bros. Super Show which actually had a guest appearance by Milli-Vanilli.

Super Mario Bros 3 (with Captain N) to be precise, but point very well taken.

That episode was part of The Adventures of Super Mario Bros 3, but Captain N wasn't a part of that show. Captain N & The New Super Mario World was when they were combined into one show.
