This is the talkback thread for "Angry Birds" iPhone Game Being Shopped for Animated Big Screen Deal.

No takers yet, but at this point, throwing millions of dollars into a movie based on an iPhone game sounds like exactly the thing a studio would do.

Argh, when will Hollywood ever learn? "VIDEO GAMES DO NOT MAKE GOOD MOVIES!" (aside from the original Mortal Kombat and Street Fighter films, but only because they're so bad they're good)

Though on the other hand, since Hollywood is almost willing to make a movie based upon anything or are willing to release schlock to the public (Vampires Suck, anyone?) maybe we should just suggest an idea to them.

I love the game as much as anyone with a smartphone or other mobile device, but I'm curious how this will work as an ongoing show.

I like those game pieces, but kids will probably have more fun finding things to catapult them at (like each other) then playing the game. I'd insist on it.
