Toon Zone Talkback - 4Kids Fall 2007 Schedule Announced

Yeah, the lineup is mostly the same. Nobody is going to care about Dinosaur King, and it'll be interesting to see if Yu-gi-oh GX does better here than on CN.

Still only watching TMNT considering the last 6 episode of Fast Forward will begin airing.

I hate to sound like the proverbial killjoy, but I've read about the 4KidsTV schedule and I'm not impressed. Viva Pinata is an OK, show. Not great, but passable, and certainly not a headliner. And as for Yu-Gi-Oh GX, I didn't care about that show when it was on CN, and I still don't care about it now. The only completely new show on the lineup is Dinosaur King, and even though I haven't seen it yet, I just have to say it, Meh. However, I am curious about what the new TMNT series will be after Fast Forward wraps up.

You probably already know that TMNT's fifth season episodes are supposed to show near the start of next year, and that the new series would start next year in the fall, yes?

I'd watch 4Kids this season if I haven't already seen all the TMNT: Fast Forward episodes on DVD already. I'll at least keep track of the premiere dates of its final six episodes though. Same with the fifth season episodes. I might even tape all the fifth season episodes just in case they decide to get stingy and not put all of them out on DVD. I'm talking about a region 1 release, mind you.

Trust me, we will get the season five dvd. They have no reason not to release it. I bet they are just waiting until they air all of the episodes first.

My thoughts in italics:

Also, look at the evolution of the Fox saturday blocks:

Fox Kids (1990 to 2002) --> Fox Box (2002 to 2004) --> 4KidsTV (2004 to 2007) --> The Game Station (2007 - Whenever 4Kids dies off or gets bored with this name).

Really, wtf is up with the new name change? 4KidsTV at least fit the block better than Fox Box (since not all Fox stations air the block).

I'm still pissed off at them for cancelling Di-gata Defenders... I must ask who in their right mind decided to sell the broadcast right to 4KidsfreakingTV!? Seriously Nelvana what a horrid move >

LOL, 4K!Ds will get destroyed by ABC Kids and Kids WB by a lot. 2 Reruns?(Well, FTR, ABC Kids are all reruns, but they are at least premires to ABC) When thier number 1 show last year(Yu=Gi-OH) isn't on and the spinoff only airs at 8:30(Which i tohught would have at least 2 slots in the later block to boost Chaotic and Dino King). The Only thing i see doing well in it's new slot is Dino King, which probably will beat Eon Kid on KWb just slightly(But of course, will end up being replaced by Spidey or World of Quest, changing that)

Adreniline Project sounds likethe perfect show to air at 11:30, and would makre sense since Sonic X is a rerun(But not since it was #1 a couple times for the block this summer)

EditL They're renamed to The Game Station? WTH?? Even stupider name imo

I'm going to keep an eye on this just so I know when Ninja Tribunal finally will air. Otherwise, it doesn't look like there's anything to hold my interests (then again, I'm way out of the target demo).

The Adrenaline Project is basicly a big fail for 4Kids, i smell Moolah Beach being re-done in another form this time....

Just another nail on 4Kids's coffin, well, the new website for 4Kids will make things up for all the epic failness...

In a weird sort of way it does, since all of their shows are based on games, are games themselves or have had games made about them.

I'll check out Dinosaur King and the remaining TMNT: FF episodes. However, if Dino King doesn't even look remotely interesting for three episodes, I ain't gonna waste my time with it.

It's possible that the show can go to three seasons. However, I can't see it lasting beyond that.

They showed what? Only three episodes? I do agree that pulling it off this prematurely was a bad move. At least give the show 13 episodes to prove itself.

So let me get this straight. First, 4Kids shows Duelist Kingdom in its entirety (in terms of 4Kids edits), then they cut out almost all of Battle City and go straight to the final battle between Yugi and Marik, they skip all of Doma, Kaiba Grand Prix, and Pharaoh's Memory, and now they're starting GX, even though everyone has already seen it on CN? What's the payoff?

I'll give three episodes to Dino King too...

And yeah how can a show without a plotline carry itself for seven seasons? That show is made of epic fail.

They showed five episodes of Di-Gata, but 1-thru-3 was really one big multiparter that should have aired as one block and 4 and 5 are amongst the weakest of the entire serie!

I'm going to give Dinosaur King a shot. It may be just a fun show to watch while waiting for something else to air. I'll also be watching the rest of Nija Turtles: Fast Foreword, since I've seen the other episodes already, and I'll wait for the new series for next fall too. I'll see the rest of Winx Club, a gulity pleasure of mine, since it is an, overall, enjoyable show. I may watch the GX repeats, if I'm awake and nothing else is on.

I completely agree. I honestly didn't see too much of Di-Gata but from what I did see, it seemed like a pretty good show. They only gave the series a few weeks, which isn't enough time to gain a good audience. It would have made more sense to give that show more airtime through the fall season, at least.

I think the reason they skipped the majority of Battle City was to get to certain duels for their summer duel showdown. Too bad that they did skip the Doma arc. That was my favorite arc in the entire DM series. You bring up a really good question about airing GX when everyone has already seen it on CN. I'm still wondering about that myself, especially since its season three episodes that they're airing. It would have made more sense to start from the first season. Maybe they think that showing more recent episodes will give them more ratings. But that's just my guess.

Hmm, I wish Yu-Gi-Oh! would've stayed on a bit longer, especially since the later seasons barely got rerun at all. Oh well.

That's probably what they're going for. All the Season 1 and Season 2 episodes have aired at least twice (and in many cases, much more than that) but Season 3 hasn't got any reruns on CN, I don't think.

Umm, $K!DS gave it a chance

The Ratings were horid. It was always beat by whatever was competting with in on Kids WB and ABC Kids by at least 1.5 times the ratings it got. And it was never the top broadcast for 4K!DS TV, despite being a premire. I think it got plenty chance, and who really thought it was gonna suceed

November Schedule(I predict)

8:00 Sonic X(Rerun)
8:30 Yu-Gi-Oh GX(Season 1-2)
9:00 TMNT:FF
9:30 TMNT:FF(Rerun)
10:00 Yu-Gi-Oh GX
10:30 Dinosaur King
11:00 Viva Pinata
11:30 Chaotic
