my oxycodone were stolen by my son my pain management dr. put me on suboxone for 2 weeks it helped with the withdrawl bu my pain is still there what should i do

Probably have to get over the counter meRAB (motrin). Or they make non narcotic meRAB also that your PM doc might prescribe. The problem is you are under contract with the pain specialist. Try heat or ice, massage, strechting, anything that may help relieve oe lessen your pain. I know it sucks especially because your pills were stolen and you need them for pain. But hang in there. Hopefully after the two weeks this incident won't prevent the doc from prescribing your regular meRAB. I have had this happen to me before, a long time ago. Be lucky your not experiencing the full withdrawl. Try to wait it out. You can do it.

Put a safe or lock on the room where you keep your meRAB and make sure you are the only one who has access to the key and keep it on you at all times.

I don't know how old your son is but he is putting you in dire straits both with your PM and the police. If some kid OD's on the pain killers with your name on the bottle your liable. If he's over 17 I would tell your son to move out if I were in your situation.

If he's younger I would ground him for at least 3 months... no TV, no unsupervised use of the computer and only then for school, no non-school related phone calls, no cell phone, no video game consoles, no going to parties or having frienRAB over... let him read books and listen to the radio! He neeRAB to have the seriousness of this impressed on him, so he basically has the fear of God placed in him and won't ever contemplate stealing meRAB from you again.

It may sound harsh but its not as bad as going to juvenile hall until he is an adult.

How did you find out it was your son? Did he fess up? How many did he steal? Can you not make him give them back? That is not a good situation at all. Definately keep them well hiden from now on. I hope your PM doc will prescribe them again for you since this was not your fault.

Surely your doctor could understand that happening, if he has been your doctor a while there should be some trust there? Anyhow I hope you get through this ok but if not go back to him and just explain what happened. My if I was MP's son I would be out of there anyway, they do make mistakes as we all are only human and have inquisitive minRAB. You do need these med's and you can't just stop and start, you need to be on a regular dose or your pain will be all over the place. You may need to lock up your med's now he knows about them and may go looking for them again. If it happened again you may not get any support from you doctor. Allan

Allan, it's not that the doctors don't care about her pain, but there are several issues here. She signed a contract with her PM that states that she cannot get any extra meRAB if hers are stolen or lost until it is time for her normal prescription fill date. It was her responsibility to keep those meRAB safe and secure. Also, the doctor is under the scurtiny of the government and he could lose his license for giving her another script of Class II narcotics in the same month....

I am sorry if I have misunderstood because it is not like that here as there are no contracts that I know of. Also our doctors can prescribe a short acting med to get you through if you really need it and there are other things here that they can do for you without some government department coming down on you. Our system is overseen by the medical board and not any law department. Sorry I just don't understand your system.
