Question.... I got a peritonsilar abscess 3 weeks ago. Essentially an abscess on my right tonsil and had it lanced. (its as ugly as it sounds....)
I've never had problems with my tonsils my entire life. I'm 36 year old. I've only had strep maybe 5 times and tonsillitis maybe once. The doctor wants to take my tonsils out and that makes me nervous.
Today, 3 weeks later, my tonsil feels full, not a lot of pain. It feels I have something stuck in my tonsil, like food. It's red and swollen. I can't imagine its another abscess, but I'm not sure. There are very faint shiney, white spots on my tonsil too.... any thoughts?
