I watched this terrific film for the millionth time the other night, and that scene on the beach gets me every time. 
It's sweet and funny and romantic and surreal all at the same time... (the moment when Bernadette Peters suddenly produces a trumpet out of nowhere, and starts playing a solo, is just wonderful!)
The actors put the song across so nicely, too, staying perfectly in character while they perform it, but singing it really sweetly too.
Anyone else go all gooey whenever you watch this scene?
