Tomtom on E61 without GPS?

I just installed tomtom 6 on my E61 in hopes of using it to plan routes without GPS (until I am able to purchase a GPS). Is this possible? I enter an address to navigate to from my home address, but after it says planning route it searches for GPS signal, and when I hit cancel (the search) it just exits the whole route planning.... I was hoping to use tomtom as a mapquest type of application, for driving directions, until I can afford a nice bluetooth GPS...any help??

thanks!

It's easy.
Instead of using "navigate to," go to the next screen and select "advanced planning."

It will ask you where you want to depart from (your home) and where you want to go.

Nah, Tomtom is pretty intuitive. Even if it's not, there's a built-in help tutorial that should get you on your feet.

Is there a Symbian-based GPS-like system that works off cell towers only? I know there are apps that will tell you which cell tower you are using, I was wondering if there was one that triangulates that in a GPS-like way to tell you where you are and maps it out.
