Tom Waits

see, to say you know a lot of people like him, youd actually have to know tom waits. Now, I can't say for certain, but I'm guessing you haven't spent a whole lotof one-on-one time with the guy. More likely, you don't like his music, but are too ignorant to explain exactly why, so you come out with useless crap like this.

Good stuff. I get the feeling that there were a lot of Waits' fans in the audience. Everybody seemed ready to laugh and every attentive. Regardless, he is a very enigmatic and charismatic artist.

My first exposure to Waits was an Old Grey Whistle Test compilation late one night on BBC2 where they showed him performing "Small Change.":)

I don't know what you mean here, its indecipherable. But I don't know how I'm on the otherside of the world if you're "right behind me." Seriously, what the hell are you saying?

well yeah absolutly. I'd still like to think she can play his wife in the movie so long as I get to play him.

I've been working awhile on looking like him. I bought a pipe.

personally, i love him.

He has the voice of a man who has felt more than any other man, yet every other man - whether he has or not is irrelevant - He is a unique soul.

Aha, I knew there'd be a Tom Waits thread somewhere. Gotta love the guy really. He's a real personality, a terrific writer and is responsible a very very large, very very eclectic and unique discography (of which I've only really skimmed the surface, being the proud owner of a mere six of his albums). I'd go with Rain Dogs and Mule Variations as my favourites.

^Are you stupid? I've been here for only a few weeks and I'm really struggling to see why you're a mod. Why be so petty? You seem to be the person here who would have the new Tom Waits, and you seem to have infinite wisdom, so tell us what you think of the new cd! I believe that is all that was asked.
