Tom Daley Programme Tonight On BBC1 - 10.30

Yes indeed. At the end of World War II the Jews were liberated from the concentration camps whilst the homosexuals that were held there, were put in prison!

It took until 1967 before it wasn't a crime any longer.

Homo-senses were tingling off the charts watching that.
that aside, it was a very interesting documentary. His relationship with his father was more interesting than his actual swimming. They're clearly very close.

Nice to see the modern yooth in a positive light.

A touching filming really, balancing the sadness / worry of Tom's father with the euphoria of Tom's achievement's, both academically and sporting wise to. In addition, the fact that the boys (and probably rightly so) aren't aware (but we the viewers were) of the severity of their father's illness, was incredibly touching to.

I could so relate to Tom's relationship with his father, as mine to, was over enthusiastic and irritating, in equal measures. I so empathised with Tom during the morning scene. I am not a morning person either, so there is nothing worse than an over enthusiastic, up beat and positive person, first thing in the morning when all you want is some alone time to come to.

Tom and his brothers have got lots to face in the future. Firstly, their father, but also the fame and fortune which has arrived at Tom's door, but not at his brothers. That can only result in tears. Sibling rivalry and jealousy is a very powerful force.

An enjoyable programme. I wish Tom, but especially his father, all the best for the future.

I thought it was a really touching documentary actually, it's amazing how down to earth and normal Tom comes across given the success and media attention he has enjoyed at such a young age. His dad seems like a lovely guy, I wish him well with his health issues.

I was waiting for this last night and really looking forward to it after they had promoted it throughout the CW coverage. Because I'm in Ireland and we receive BBC Northern Ireland here, it was scheduled for an hour later, and then cancelled because of the miners coverage. I can't watch it on the I-player either as I'm in ROI. Does anyone know of any other ways to catch it?

Well done to Tom today on his gold too.

It's bound to get a repeat at some point, maybe at Christmas if not before. It's good family viewing, and many younger viewers will not have been able to see it at such a late hour yesterday.
