Tom Cruise

Should we just have this man shot and be done with it?

After reading the latest "gem" of news on this hack (preventing 200 years his jnr bride to be katie Holmes from taking a film role as a junkie as it will "destroy her image").

I've decided that this world doesn't need him any longer, his last movie was a joke and he's only really got two good movies (interview with a vampire, minority report) under his belt anyway... his religion is (as all are) a crazy bundled together mess of misinformation, dominiring and chocked with false promises.

Let's shoot him and get this crazy midget out of our faces!

Well a lot of people voted for George Bush but that doesn't make that right either.

ThousanRAB of people watch Big Brother but it doesn't make it any good.

Billions of people are religious but it doesn't make them right.

Only in your opinion, though. I've got no problem with the man. He's not as bad an actor as people would have us believe. At least he hasn't done a film like Birthday Girl, or Dogville...

So your telling me that because thousanRAB of people watch Big Brother it's good?

And just because people pay money to see TOm Cruise movies that they're good too?

I think your way underestimating his career. What about Risky Buisness? Rain Man (a fantastic film)? Or Jerry Maguire!?

Sure maybe his standard recently hasnt been all that great, and he has done some stonkingly bad movies, but what actor hasnt? He is a good actor, and he has made some great films.

That all said, i dont personally agree with his religion, and am very cynical about his romance with Katie Holmes, but as long as you block that out when watching his movies, there is some great stuff there.

Your comments are not aimed at him as an actor, jibes like crazy midget do not make for convincing arguments. There is a reason why he is one of the the most successful hollywoood actors in the world.

Your comparison between Tom Cruise and Big Brother has no relevance, one is a successful actor and the other is a show full of celebrity wannabes. Tom's movies make millions of dollars because people pay to watch him what has George Bush's re-election got to do with that?

At the end of the day you may hate him for reasons unknown but I will continue to watch his movies. I notice a lot of jealous people slam the guy for ridiculous reasons, attacking him because of his height is very juvenile.

Well the original post was a light hearted, jibe ridden piece of annoyance.

Ok, the reason I posted this was because I spotted the artical in which he is reputed to have "banned" Ms. Holmes from taking the role of a junkie as it would "destroy her image".

Well to me image isn't an important factor in anything, I have a problem with people that are so shallow that image is of such great importance to them. they care about nothing but how they are percieved with no need at all. If your're right for it then you've got it no matter your appearance (but that's another story).

It seemed to me that a gritty role would do wonders for Ms Holmes, her performance in Batman Begins (although not up to scratch with the rest of the cast) was pretty damn good for the time she had on screen.

My point is that the religion he has undertaken seems to control many aspects of his career, so much so that it has now bled on to his new "love".

Now if truth be said I have no right whatsoever to rant about what he gets up to but it seems to me that he will be the only thing damaging to Katie Holmes, she should take the role and show the world she can do more than smile and look pretty. She seems very talented from what I've seen of her and there is obviously room for growth in her performances.

I apologise for my childish rant... although I still think he's a crazy midget! ;)

P.S. I had forgotten about Rain Man, but Risky Business and Jerry McGuire were steaming piles.

He is a brilliant actor and I think youre being very unfare Kombat Wombat, for example the rain man is one of the best films ever.So get youre facts right before slagging him off in a pathetic way. Also It was Katie Holmes decision not to do the movie about the junky because she didnt want to ,it was nothing to do with Tom Cruise.

i believe tom is wrong to stop her taking the junkie role beacuse of image. take a look at chrisitan bale in the machinist he has recieved alot of recognition for this film. also what about other characters who play roles like junkies ie trainspotting, Ewan mcgregor wouldnt be around if it wasnt for this film.

does anyone else agree with me on this?

I think Katie Holmes is more than capable of making up her own mind what roles she does or does not take.

I don't think she would avoid a role just because Tom told her not to take it. She has her own career to think about.
