Tom and Jerry Tales "Sasquashed/A Life Less Guarded/Xtreme Trouble"

Was this the first time that they showed the faces of the humans? I don't recall ever seeing an episode that showed teh faces before.

I think that cartoon was supposed to play more like a Tex Avery cartoon than a Hanna/Barbara one. I'm almost positive the lifeguard instructor was supposed to be Tex Avery as a matter of fact.

Yeah, It looked like Tex, and I think that Miss Shapely was supposed to be Red Hot Riding Hood. But anyways I felt this episode was even better than the last batch of Brandt and Cervone cartoons. I think "A Life Less Guarded" was my favorite, it felt more like an old cartoon especially with the additional MGM characters. Overall the ep was pretty awesome!:D

I'm surprised no one mentioned the return of Droopy. It was good to see him. Who's doing his voice now anyway? I wonder if Droopy's son Dripple will appear as well. For that matter where's Spike's son Tyke? Just something to speculate on.

Dripple probably won't appear, he was a character only used in Tom and Jerry Kids. I think the characters in "Tales" are usually classic characters or at least newly created characters that remain consistent with Tom and Jerry. Btw did anyone notice the bear in "Sasquashed?" He was originally in this cartoon:

Yup. That was really the only funny part of the episode.

But expect that link to be removed. No linking to copyrighted material on you tube. around here.

Something that intrigues me about this show is the voicework. I mean, in this episode, we had Richard Ian Cox as Bigfoot, Kelly Sheridan as Ms. Shapely, and I'm pretty sure Dan Hennessey was the lifeguard instructor; in other words, all Canadian VAs. But in the episode right before it, I heard Carlos Alazraqui as the teacher, and in a past ep (set in the caveman times, I think) that had Maurice LaMarche as the narrator and Tress Macneille as the cavewoman; AKA, CA VAs. Do they switch off between recording studios or something?http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0377243/

I guess your right. What about Spike's son Tyke? I guess he used to be mute in the classic area, though he talked in "Tom and Jerry Kids." It would be good to see him either way.
