Toddler art table suggestions?

My parents want to get my son an art table for Christmas and I think that is a great idea. I have an idea of something more like a table than an easel, with some storage and a little chair. But I'm not sure if people find that toddlers do better with the easel type? It doesn't need to be tricked out with supplies, we can get those separately.

Any suggestions? (they like me to give them links to specific items when they buy big gifts)

We have an art table at my home-it's actually an old coffee table with some kids' chairs-IKEA type. And I think an art table is way better than an easel and will last longer.
We dont have drawers though-but if you want drawers you could get rubbermaid containers.. there's actually ones thave wheels to move around. Or you can just get some clear bins so your child can see where the stuff is.

Look here are some ideas from IKEA

Little tykes or similar kid picnic table. There is room for more than one kid, it raises up as they grow, you can use it for lots of different activities, you can take it outdoors for finger painting, etc. and hose it down! Get some rolling drawers to store supplies. I used mine for at least 5 years and still have it for company.

the step 2 tables look great, i would think it is a bit risky to leave out all the supplys for a toddler...imo. If you ask your parents for one of them get a seperate storage drawer, or keep the supplys in a cabinet untill he gets a little older.
I mitht get a table with 2 or 4 chairs if you have the room so he can use it for puzzles, crafts, play doh and games when he gets older, and have the craft items in a cabinet. We got my niece one at Lowes last christmas, it is great, and matches their furniture. and is great when there are other kids around. we were there tonight and the kids spent an hour and a half painting and coloring and there was no fighting. My son is a big 6 year old and he fits in the seat, I can even sit in the chairs...my niece is 2.5 so it is good for all ages, and will get use for a long time.
