Today my car is making a noise that sounds like static...it's not the AC or the

radio, what is it? It's a static noise - which is probably the best way to describe the noise, It almost sounds like a leaf stuck in the AC, but it remains when the AC is off. It sounds like it;s coming from the engine and i have only noticed it when i was traveling over about 60 mph. does anyone have any ideas?
