I currently have 1 year left on Sprint contract and have an Android phone.. Yes I know Verizon is getting the Iphone 4 in Feb.. I was thinking about paying out the rest of the ETF and going to the Iphone on Verizon, however not for sure I should do it.. Should I just wait a year and see what bugs come out and see if a newer Iphone comes out on Verizon by 2012?? Need help what should I do ??

Thanks,
Dx

I currently have an iPhone 4 and I can tell you that you won't regret getting one but I think it would be wiser if you wait a bit more because a lot of new phone will come out this year and I've heard that 5th gen iPhone is already in the works.

I would wait until Verizon has a few months under their belts. AT&T had some pretty bad growing pains and I bet Verizon will also. And as the previous poster mentioned the iPhone 5 should be announced in the next few months.

If you're going to pay an ETF, you might as well make it worth your while and wait. You'll get a faster phone and will pay less on the ETF at the same time.

The Verizon iPhone 4 isn't necessarily a bad deal -- Verizon's been bracing its network specifically for it -- but it's really there for people who either don't care about having the best phone or are in a bad AT&T area and just happy to have an iPhone that makes phone calls.

Having an iPHone on Verizon opens the possibility for Sprint to get one. I would suggest waiting and see. The CDMA iPhone 4 is likely to have some bugs that will bite the early adopters so its better to wait and let it cook. Besides, in a few months there will be an iPhone 5.

From what I see, AT&T's data plan offering is not so different from what's in store with Verizon especially now that AT&T is desperately clinging to its customers. My point is that there's a lot of options for you out there, it'll be best to wait

I switched from Verizon to Alltel back in October with a firm mindset that Verizon won't be getting the iPhone until at least 3rd or 4th quarter of 2011. Now that Verizon has received it and AT&T has pushed back the acquisition of Alltel AGAIN, I am questioning whether or not to switch back.

What I think will happen is Verizon's network will slow down in urban areas just as AT&T's did. There are going to be millions of new iPhones on Verizon's network by the end of March. We will just have to wait and see how it handles it. Did you see that Verizon is going to be getting rid of its unlimited data plan? Seems like they are anticipating that there will be too much network traffic and limiting the data plans will be one option to try and keep people off of their network for data. Every way that I look at it Verizon seems to be preparing for failure here. What exactly have they done to their network in preparation for the iPhone?
