So, I've had mild acne all my life on my face, back, and a bit on my upper chest. I am now 20 and have recently heard that this could be due to your diet. I then was drinking 5-8 cans of coke a day, and I cut it out of my diet completely, roughly 3 months ago. Now today my acne has gone from mild to boarderline severe.(as i don't get huge cysts).
I am not on birth control or anything like that. I have gotten much encouragement to go on proactive. I've been on accutane, it worked when I was younger but I couldn't handle the dry skin and lips so i quickly got off of it.
My acne very well could be genetic, i doubt it's my diet, i've run out of options. Should I go for proactive and give it a shot? Or am I just wasting my money and time?
