To those who think that global warming is a hoax: shouldn't we work on saving

the environment anyway? Changing from fossil fuels is useful regardless of whether or not it curbs global warming, as the fossil fuels may soon run out (the estimates are usually around 50 years) and we will need a renewable energy source before prices become to high. We should stop deforestation anyway, as it causes the extinction of thousands of animal species. We should be conservative and efficient with energy anyway, as it saves money and resources.

There are lots of things that we should do anyway, no?
 
I agree...to a certain extent. Global warming is nonsense, but we shouldn't totally trash our planet. Earth is one of God's creations as well.

Just as long as we aren't putting Earth before God.
 
Yes, absolutely.

I was once a believer in this but now I am starting to see it is a lot of BS. Anyway, yes we should still be very clean, as clean as possible. Otherwise we'll kill our host.

Now, on another topic, whatever happened to acid rain? When I was young this was a big problem. Now it isn't. Why is that?
 
These aren't hoaxes either

1. Every year we destroy 44 million acres of forest.
2. Every year we lose 100 million acres of farmland and 24 billion tons of topsoil
3. Every year 160 billion tons more water each year than is being replenished by rain
4. For today’s teenagers, fresh water will run out in many parts of the world, making food production difficult
5. Only 10% of edible fish remain in the oceans, and this percentage is rapidly declining
6. Large numbers of people are leaving the poorest countries, wanting to find a life in countries with opportunity
7. Population growth to 8.9B people with a demand for carbon-based energy, more than the planet can handle
 
I have never quite bought the global warming thing, but I do agree that some of the steps that have been taken 'because' of it have been good ones and we should continue to do what we can to preserve what we have.
 
no. the brown people living in the forests will die. if you keep them from cutting down trees, how can they build shelters or weapons?
