To test or not to test...?

My LMP May 20th and I have a pretty regular 28 day cycle, we BD on the 30, 31, and 1st. I have yet to receive my AF for this month which should have started yesterday; I had some times when wiping I had slight reddish/brownish discharge, but sometimes that happens before my AF. I also had some really weird coincidences this month: I feel like I should be, my son (who is almost 3yrs) asked me a couple different times out of the blue if I had a baby in my tummy, and I've received stuff regarding future pregnancy stuff from my insurance company. I know that none of those are signs but it just makes you think. I have had some frequent urination, but nothing to major, and some mild cramping on and off for about the past 1 1/2 weeks.
I want to test, but I don't want it to be negative. Any good advice? Should I wait to test or what? I think it would be a great father's day present to be able to tell my husband, but I'm just scared I won't get the answer I want.
 
My lmp was May 13 and I am in the same boat as you! I am going to wait until fathers day to surprise my husband! If it's negative you can always enjoy some more trying on fathers day :)
 
I would go ahead and do the test.

Home pregnancy tests can sometimes show false negatives, because there isn't very much HCG in your bloodstream during the first 2 weeks of pregnancy.

Even if it turns out to be negative, that doesn't mean you aren't pregnant! It just means you don't have enough of the pregnancy hormone in your blood yet. If it is negative, wait a week or 2 & take another test.
Don't be discouraged if it is negative!

As for the discharge, it's common for women to spot-bleed when the egg is attaching to the uterine wall. This probably means you are pregnant.

at 10 dpo i took the test at night because i couldnt wait. i really didn't want to test but i wanted to get over with it since it bothers me so much. i got BFN. i know it was too early.. now i'm on 12dpo today and i just have to wait 2 more days to test. i totally know how you feeling right now. i dont really want to test if i really think about it. i know it will be bfn if i take the test. But i will anyway so i could get over it.

you will be down or even cry but at least u know the answer.

take the test. if its bfn.. u have next month.. think positive. our month will come..
