I'm not really clear on the details but I heard someone say that students who are going down the medicine career path have to take Chemistry, Physics and English tests. (Collectively referred to as the CHEM test.) Apparently, this is just new, so as to prevent foreign young students from educating themselves here and after, spiriting away back to their country. The state doesn't want this because of a shortage of (truly passionate and inspired) doctors. I don't really follow the logic, but is this true?
