In the book To Kill a Mockingbird, what does the visit to Calpurnia's church teach Jem and Scout about African - Americans in the town of Maycomb?
How is their culture different from the culture of the white people the children know?
How are the two connected?
 
in the book it one of the women herself mentions that they don't like it when someone speaks more educated or highly than another, so they all talk alike and use improper grammar. the culture is different because of the way that folk do things in that church. the two are connected... well i'm not really sure how but i believe they had similarities.
 
I had to read that book 2 years ago for school. I hated it.
