terror than terrorism itself? Just something I was thinking about, there have been 3 high profile Terror attacks since 2001 and all three have inside job written all over them , so now... Since 9/11 3,000 died during the 9/11 attacks, 76 in london, 191 in madrid , and hundreds of thousands in public bombings in countries the U.S. and it's plastic Coalition of the willing seem to ignore.

Meanwhile the number of civilian deaths is nearing in the millions all over the middle east. Does this really make sense? also what have been the benefits of 'combating terrorism' so far? Terrorism existed before bush, it exists now just the same , and it hasn't slowed down pretty much anywhere -- at least not to the point that will justify so much collateral damage.
Bill from kansas - relax, I'm trying to say the wrong people are being labeled terrorists.

I'm latin-american and have family that say the American CIA are the biggest terrorist group on planet earth. Now I'm not supposed to beleive scarred aunts and uncles because you said so? or maybe because it's not on tv?

what if columbia and argentina decided to combat 'American Tyranny' what would you say then?
Bill of kansas - also that'a weird twist of words there pal, I can do the same look.

If 10 people died in a murder case would you kill half your state to find the killers who could be anywhere in the world?
I'm not justifying terrorism btw, again, I just think it should be fought in a smarter way. The country should spend on securing borders, tighting access into the US, and securing infrastructure you can not stop terrorism with war, all war does is create more terrorism.

What you have to do is save yourself and secure you own country.

I do think that it's weird that in trying to find terrorists innocent civilians end up being killed. Terrorism in my opinion cannot be fought by conventional warfare.
I'm not Latin american, but some friends of mine from Chile hate the US because of the CIA. I once had to sit through a lecture from this Spanish Musician(do you remember La Flaca?) about how the CIA has done more crap in the world then any terrorist could've done. A lot of the world is angry at us for stupid things we've done in the past, and now it's time to apologize and make amends, maybe that would help the terrorist problem...

In 2004 the National Counterterrorism Centre (NCTC) reported 3,192 attacks worldwide, with 28,433 people killed, wounded or kidnapped.

That's a whole lot of innocent people

So I guess your thought is that as long as they only kill a few people, terrorism is fine?

I just don't get liberals and your desire to not protect our nation and our way of life

Well I don't disagree with anything you've stated here. America has always thought it is their duty to help provide freedom to other countries and that don't know what freedom is or if they want it and at the expense of collateral damage (human lives) houses, water, food, electricity, heat, medical availability to name a few. Foreign media TV and newspapers always state things much differently than here in the states. Canada seems so far too keep their nose out of things and not much has happened there. Perhaps it is about OIL!

Terrorism is an ideal, it can never be stopped and/or defeated. anyone that thinks the opposite doesn't even know the true meaning of the word. as long as there are religious fanatics in this world terrorism in one form or another will exist.
