the best right now?
I can go down the line and point to flaws in almost every top team (i.e., Florida - weakness is lack of good receivers, Texas - defense doesn't look that good, Bama - not so hot in the red zone due to inexperienced quarterback, Ole Miss - don't know in that who have they played, Penn State - Big 10 enough said, Cal - one dimensional on offense, LSU - offense and defensive lines are sub-par and the quarterback is inconsistent). I think The U (i.e., Miami) is playing the best football right now. They remind me of the old days under Jimmy Johnson in that they have tremendous speed on both sides of the line and one heck of a good quarterback and I am a die-hard SEC fan if you are wondering. Your thoughts?
To Miami Landsharks - True but Tech doesn't have a running game to speak of in that they get it done through the pass. As far as Miami, no team has a tougher schedule for the first four game and yes, if they get through that undefeated then in all likelihood they will play for all the marbles.
To Michael - I am talking about the top teams and we all know how the Big 10 has fared against top opponents in the BCS conferences.
To Michelle - I agree with you in that Tennessee is looking better with each game. However, we are talking about what team is playing the best right now and UT is 0-2. Since you are a UT fan, the biggest question for the Vols is who is going to be the starting quarterback next year. I haven't seen where Kiffin has a recruited a top-notch quarterback. So, you may have to wait a couple of years before UT joins the elite teams in the SEC.
