I am considering purchasing a 2001 Toyota Prius. I have researched and researched and am this close to closing the deal. The only problem is the car has 175,000 miles! On a typical Toyota this would not bother me at all but the Prius battery replacements are so pricey and since this car is through an individual it would not have any kind of warranty so I'm hesitating. Any advice or reassurance from Prius drivers or knowledgable persons would be very much appreciated. I'm on a budget so a newer Prius is really out of the question for me but this 2001 sure fits the bill as long as the battery doesn't end up breaking me! Thanks!
