...'Western' lifestyles? Can you please explain why Las Vegas was not attacked? Why was Hollywood not attacked?

It was the pentagon that was attacked, and they planned to hit the white house and.

the pentagon symbolizes our military and foreign operation.

The white house is rather obvious. It symbolizes decades of politicians who have been meddling in the mid east.

the world trade center symbolized the financial world which has allowed our government to spend big on the military

it's rather weak to say we were attacked for our way of life

the evidence suggests our foreign policy was the reason

the longer we deny the facts the more backwards we go as a nation and drag everybody else down with us
rather than call me dumb please provide evidence as to why you are right

All radical Muslims know how to do is stir up sh!t in the world. It's all they have ever done since the beginning of human existence.

There was no US during the raping and ravaging of Europe. There was no US during bible times. Even the madman Vlad Tepis despised them.

King Richard kicked their @$$e$ in Europe, and it's going to take someone with some nads to kick their butts for good.
 
We are being attacked for our "western lifestyle," being primarily infidels in OBLs eyes, but it is a combination of that and what you say.

What actually drives them to be terrorists has more to do with them feeling their identity is denied and that they feel like 2nd class citizens. Then they deny our right to live seeing us as infidels. They get people to buy into the idea that the sinful infidels are keeping them down and exploiting them, then teach them to be suicide bombers.

So our foreign policy alone is not the reason, its being western infidels in combination with how they view our foreign policy.

As for targets, they attacked the WTC to attack our markets. They attacked the Pentagon because it was easier to spot then the capital or the White House with the fall foilage.

if you think that hollywood and las vegas are the linchpins of the 'western lifestyle', there may be little hope of reality getting thru; you may have watched WAYYYYYY too much 'ET'

the 'western way of life' is perfectly represented by the WTC, symbol of the economic system that 'keeps the wheels turning', and washington dc is the power center that protects that system...

we were attacked because some evil nutjobs can't seem to take responsibility for their own destiny and instead lashed out at those who could...it happens ALL the time

but if it makes you feel better to start skiing down that 'our foreign policy' slippery slope to the deep powder of 'we had it coming', feel free..but DON'T be surprised if people start to doubt your intelligence and/or sanity
 
whatever the reasons, it worked. America hasn't been the same since 9/11/2001. 8 years later and we're still in turmoil.

the terrorists have accomplished their goal and much more where America is concerned. Between Bin Laden and GW Bush, this country has really gone down.
 
Dude, don't read too much into things. Whatever the reason they wanted an attack to bring in everyone's attention and thats what they accomplished.
