To ALL the Symbian/Nokia Bloggers

is that a fact? ive just been telling cingular i have an E62 when i have troubles and call in since they both use s60v3 and would like to just cut past the bull about how non-cingular phones will always have issues (thats what the techs always tell ya anyways). hmmmm

There have been several HoFoers who posted that they called in and were very surprised.

However, I don't think the front-line CSRs have access to it. Every time it's mentioned, it's a tech teling them.

Things are moving forward but everything takes time! Nokia has a lot of work ahead of them in order to create workable strategies in the US - a MUCH different market than the markets that Nokia is currently successful in...

Just FYI, Nokia hired a consultant to conduct surveys some time ago regarding N-Series data and internet use. As a result of those surveys, they are conducting some face-to-face interviews in NYC (and maybe other areas?) next month. I will be one of those interviewed and I will surely not be shy regarding my feelings about the current state of Nokia in the US. I highly suggest that if any other HoFo members are contacted, you try your best to make it!

Yeah it is. Both T-mobile and Cingular can tell you what phone you are using and even what phones you have used in the past. It's just that sometimes they don't check that information and take your word for it. I have had techs at both companies tell me that I have used an N90, 6230 and N93 on my account.

As for Cingular caring about us using their phones, they couldn't care less. They want the monthly revenue not the loss they take in giving us phones. I take whatever they have on offer usually and just keep it lying around. I should unlock and sell it or give it to my parents.
