TNA Wrestling on Bravo (Part 3)

I am looking to Before The Glory tonight. Also with Reaction being live i wouldn't be surprised to see the end of the last segment on Impact to spill over onto Reaction. Eric Bischoff said they will try and do it when they can as long as it makes sense well tonight it will because of Dixie's big announcement we will be hearing live comments from everyone maybe even the fans.

I wouldn't say it doesn't make sense, Hes never beaten RVD one on one IIRC, Hes sick of being the popular guy who does crazy insane jumps for the fans, and he wanted the world title. I had the fact that Abyss' last attack on Hardy was off camera pointed out to me on another forum, Looking back i suppose that was a hint.

and Kimo ISN'T Rosey btw.

Actually TNA has been on Spike for 5 years, as of this October (Starting 1st October 2005) and TNA has increased their audience over the 5 years from 0.8 to 1.1 - 1.3 levels and one 1.45. I know thats not massive audience growth, but still growth nevertheless.

And because people still perfer to watch WWE over TNA for the simple reason majority of U.S. wrestling fans still think the WWE set the standarRAB for sports entertainment wrestling and alot more flasher than TNA.

It doesn't matter what TNA does storyline wise, it will always have links to past storylines for the simple fact that nearly everthing has been done by WWE, WCW or ECW over the years and coming up with something new or fresh, must be extreme hard for any creative team,

TNA have every right to expect their contract with living tv group to be honoured. obviously there will be provisions for both sides to get out of the deal if need be, i would think it would be poor business practice if there weren't, but even then it wouldn't just be a case of just tearing up the contract there and then.

if any of the exit clauses were met, it would most likely mean a notice period of some degree, so TNA would have plenty of time to do a deal with someone else.

so in that respect, it probably would be an idea for them to send out some feelers to see if anyone might be interested in doing a deal.

good job i was so cautious last night. just checked the recordings i've made and the exact same thing happened - the main program cut out at 3 hours, 7 minutes.

Checked the recording afterwarRAB which, according to the virgin EPG, was "Mantracker" and the PPV runs over by half an hour into that show so good job i recorded it as well !

Will watch the rest this afternoon finally...

Whats the idea with this TNA Xplosion. Is it a Show that goes before iMpact.

Example. Is it right if I watch Xplosion on the friday on Extreme sports then IMPACT on BRAVO on saturday. IS THAT THE RIGHT ORDER.

Plus is Bound For Glory on until 1:30am like normal PPV'ss?

I think it's just as well they signed for TNA again. There was every chance that if they went back to wwe Vince would bury them.He hasn't exactly done Christian or Gail Kim any favours.Sure Christian was ECW champ but let's be honest ECW (wwe version) was a joke.Anyone could have been ECW champ.

yeah he's normally been in to apologise - but then if it keeps happening, apologies won't be enough and more people will just download it. ratings on extreme will tank and then what will they do ??

i might try the repeat showing tomorrow night, but if that's norked as well, i'll just download it. but then to be honest, i might watch the angle hardy match and just read the rest of the results online.

Hmm I see how that can be interpreted but at the same time Dixie could be talking about going to another channel under Sky that TNA and Sky are already in discussions over.

Either way I don't think TNA will have any trouble finding a new home on UK TV.

After you mentioned the Daily Star interview grabbi I had a search and also found this:

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/posts/view/153977/TNA-UK-TV-crisis

which makes mention of an exclusivity clause between WWE and Sky. Doesn't confirm it of course and it is the Daily Star so I guess we'll still have to wait and see.

I still think iMPACT is going to end up on a revamped Challenge TV.

Paying people
to throw trash in the ring?
That crowd was hyped all night. I've no interest in what some dirtsheet writer or WWE mark has to say on the matter. Dave Meltzer is a lowlife and a liar and the internet is full of marks thinking they know better and making comments like that is just another way of throwing an insult at TNA.

I thought the show was fantastic last night. I am looking forward to Impact this week. Kevin Nash has admitted that he is leaving because of money. Well that's ok because everyone knew that anyway. He is another person only there for the money. Goodbye Kevin Nash i hope i don't have to look at your face anymore on TNA and by all means go to WWE for one more run as Big Daddy Cool Diesel. You would fit right into the family friendly PG environment.

so is it wrestling then or sports entertainment????

so these great matches or great superstars dont matter then.

AJ styles should not work a match because no one wants to see it???????? i think wrestling is still the key in WWE and TNA. its built around wrestling.

Thanks Grabbi.
I will always jump in here when people break the rules for this forum. Its for Bravo viewing. If people want to talk about spoilers and the american pase, then start a new thread. Not hijack this one.
Gosip news on what might happen, I like to hear but match results is a no-no.

The main posters in here do respect the rules and post in spoilers. newbies make mistakes but then correct them after being told. But people like Grabbi and myself shouldn't be singled out as forum police just because we play by the rules and tell people when they don't.

I haven't been in this forum for a while when the last PPV was on, because I knew I couldn't risk it. I have changed from watching online to watching extreme sports and bravo (well for now?).

Rant over...

I am loving a decent build up to 10.10.10 BFG. This is how it should be done unlike in the past when you get a brief mention on the thursday/saturday just before the PPV of what the matches are and then they wonder why no one is buying the PPV. Because we don't know about it, to get excited.

And any thoughts on who THEY are?

Everything in pro wrestling doesnt make sense if you think hard enough. Everyone has feuded with everyone then they team up and act like best frienRAB forever. Its like that because its a TV show and not real-life. Yet, a load of people love to pick holes in it and say how non-sensicial things are despite watching every week without fail.

Sky have a stake in ESPN UK so i wonder if they are looking at ESPN as almost a get out clause of the contract. Shift the content to ESPN at a reduced rate and they are still honouring the contract and making some money to boot while not invalidating the WWE deal by Sky showing TNA.

The other options

1) Challenge show it
2) They settle with TNA and they sell to another UK channel
3) They keep the rights but do not show the content (which they can do)

I think that was the idea. Get some plants to throw stuff and hope it encourages others to join in. Kindof like the old Goldberg chants that used to be played through the P.A system.

The Jeff Hardy courtcase has been putback several times. According to the last newspaper report I saw, it will go ahead next month and it did appear from the tone of the article, that it was being treated as serious.

Again it goes back to how much Panda/Spike are willing to pay and how much TNA are.

Nash is smart. He knows when to talk to people nicely and when to put the pressure on. Thats why even in his largely immobile state, he is still able to get good money.

Well as said earlier, Meltzer spoke to several people inside TNA and they all said it was going to be RVD, but they choose Jeff Hardy as it would be harder to predict. That's not the best reason for changing your plans. Especially considering some of the build up on recent Impacts. This was posted on the Observer Board:

June 17th- Abyss chokeslams Hardy off of the stage and through a table

June 24th- Abyss tells Hogan "they" are coming and then chokes him while shoving hogans ring down his throat. Later on Hogan hits Abyss with a chair

July 1st- Hogan and Abyss brawl. Hardy makes the save by giving Abyss the twist of fate and a senton. Later Abyss and Hardy have a match full of hatred induced violence.

July 8th- Hardy and Mr. Anderson double team Abyss and hit him with a chair

Aug 19th- Hardy and Abyss have a nearly 5 minute backstage brawl

Oct 7th- Abyss eliminates Jarrett and Hardy from a battle royal costing them "100,000 dollars"

Oct 10th- SWERVE!!!!
