TN governor vetoes "guns-in-bars" bill again

Guns don't kill people on their own. They're no more violent than knives or baseball bats or carrots are.

I don't carry my cell phone because I intend to talk on it constantly. It's in case I need it for something important.

My gun is the same thing. I don't carry it around with me looking for excuses to shoot people. It's just one of the things I pick up as I'm leaving the house. Keys, phone, gun, and I keep it with me just IN CASE I should ever need it.

And yes, people are afraid of what I might do with it. Which is exactly what I'm bitching about. If you think I'm going to hurt you just because I have a gun, then you should be afraid that I'm going to hurt you REGARDLESS, even if I don't have a gun. Guns don't make people violent.

Besides, drunk driving reduces traffic accidents. If anyone on the road might be drunk, everyone will be more cautious!

An excellent solution, on par with applying a tourniquet to the neck in order to stop a nosebleed.

Problem is, criminals can still get guns.

bro, i know those noodles dangling from your torso barely qualify, but they're arms. keep and bear them.

i'm against it and I'm neither a pacifist, not intimidated by weapons, nor do I believe the issue with this lies solely with the person carrying the gun.

I get your point.

There should be a "cars in bar" bill. You should be allowed to take your car into the bar.

...and yet poisoning someone is apparently more difficult than shooting them, as suggested by the issue of rifles and handguns to soldiers instead of poison.

Hey there, responsible open-alcohol container drivers don't all talk with a thick southern drawl. That's discrimination!

That's something that I think should be handled at a community level.. not state or country wide.

So I disagree with his veto.

Virginia just got rid of their retarded no guns in alcohol establishments law (90% of restaraunts)
