Tmobile SUCKS!!

I just wanted to vent and tell everyone how little Tmobile cares about their long time customers.
My wife wants an Iphone but I was able to talk her into a Cliq. Tmobile will not budge from the $199 price, even for a customer who has been with them since they were Voicestream. I can go to Verizon and get a Droid for that price, a far superior device. I can go to Costco today and get the Cliq for $99 including a leather case, Bluetooth, and a car charger ($49 if I was a new customer) but even customer retention didn't want to "retain" my business and at least match that price. Poor, poor customer service from Tmobile. They told me, "We think our plans and prices are worth staying with Tmobile because they are very reasonable." Wow!

T-Mobile is cheaper then most carriers. When you look at how much you've saved monthly over the years, $199 for a phone that just came out doesn't seem too bad to me.

Had the same issue today..I have 4 lines unlimited minutes txts and a data plan...over 200+ a month and they didn't wanna float me a tap or highlight for under $30..i talked to regular CS agent, customer retention and account specialist..they said it was the best they could to..yea right last month a guy and he lowered my txting plan down to 9.99 a month and got me a free gravity 2 no shipping cost or upgrade fee

You may be right Al but the point is to treat your current and long time customers like your business depends on them, because it does. Tmobile should match any retailer's price for that phone. Besides, I'll bet that the price of that same phone will go way down in the next couple of weeks.

honestly, it All depends on who you talk to. i have been with tmobile 15yrs also and i have never paid full price for any phone i have gotten from them. mytouch paid 105, and my contract has always been in a new state, like i said it all depends on who you talk to, i always ask to speak to the manager and they always get me what i want and for the price i want as well.....

Tmobile just told me that $199 is the best deal they can give me on the Cliq despite the fact that I could get that same phone for $99 if I was a new customer or if I drive over to Costco. Nothing they can do for me. bah!!!
I guess my wife is a new Iphone user and I will be an Android lover on another carrier. All the other carriers get better hardware anyway. Sprint has the Hero, Verizon has the Droid, and AT&T will have the Sony Xperia X10. Wow, Tmobile may be doing me a favor, hehe.

I landed on TMobile after getting the same treatment by Nextel, cingular, and Sprint. I've decided that getting a good deal one time for a phone just isn't worth switching carriers. I've been very happy with TMobiles rates and service, so I have no problem paying more for my next phone.

Lol, so them not bending over to do something you're mad at them? I understand you've been with them a while, but you do realize they don't HAVE to give you anything discounted right? The fact that you can go next door and buy all that stuff for $99 means you should just go buy it... for $99. It's a new phone, generally speaking the NEW phones they can't bend over for, because they go quicker than the older ones.

And no I don't work for T-Mobile or any carrier, or anything retail for that matter, I just understand that it feels like when you have to tell someone "No." it's a hard thing, but hey - Business is Business my friend.

I personally love T-Mobile, I call them up, they help me, I walk in the stores, they hook me up. And I've only had em a year now.

been with tmobile for years since it was powertell back then, never had a problem with service, but can they get some better phones, android is great and all, but damn verizon getting droid and sounds like the passion/dragon, too. what does tmo get the cliq and behold 2, maybe the hd2 with some luck... but damn come on now tmo, step your game up...

I agree with this guy, I think treating a new customer and an old loyal customer should be the same. If you look at some carriers, I think it was Sprint - If you want a new phone it is the same price be it upgrade or new contract.
BUT ! I dont really care because their Customer Service is numero uno to me.

Honestly quit complaining. Tmo unlimited plans are still $20 cheaper then Att/Verizon/Sprint. I get 3G everywhere and almost always have service. The only times I don't are when I'm in 100 year old school buildings with lead walls. Big deal. Tmo also has less crowded networks. Iphone users constantly complain about how *****y Att is. Ask anybody. Why don't you just wait like normal people for your contract to end and get your discount. I has a BB and it broke ended up using a pos nokia phone for like 6 months cause I couldnt justify paying 300 for the mytouch3g. Got it for $105 and my payment a month droped from BB's plan from $122 a month to $92 a month. Good things come to those who wait.

I just switched to Sprint. I needed seven phones five of which are data phones. I couldn't find another carrier with better plans. I also got Hero's and Moments from Best Buy for $69.00 each and no activation. Better phones in my opinion than what T Mobile had to offer.
I couldn't be happier with my decision so far.

PhilMize....The price that Tmobile wants me to pay (twice the price that a new customer pays for the same phone) IS at the end of my contract. I guarantee they will change their tune when I call to cancel my service but it will be too late then.
As far as them not bending over backwards for me, that is what I expect them to do. I have been a loyal customer of Tmobile since they were Voicestream. I expect special consideration for that. They don't HAVE to give me anything unless the WANT to keep my business. Obviously they don't.

I know what you are going through... that has happend to me on several occasions. The one suggestion i have is to call their bluff and ask to be transferred to the "cancellation dept". Once you are there they are going to ask "why do you want to cancel" and they will try to work something out with you. Try that if the manager pisses you off like it did with me and let me know!!

Also I would just keep checking on the prices for the Cliq if you didn't already get it. Over Thanksgiving... to renew your contract they had it for $130 and then on this past Monday it was listed for $99, now its back to $199. So i would just keep checking.
