Alright well my contract with AT&T was finally up and I had to switch to Cingular but I decided to switch to Tmobile because of the new SK3 (ex had a SK2 and loved it) and the data plan and all of that. So last week I picked up the SK3 and have had it for about 4-5 days now and it's a great phone, but for some reason, the internet on the phone keeps going in and out. The e-mails are not being sent and I am not receiving e-mails and it's pretty frustrating when the internet keeps going out and you have to wait for it to come back on.
Now that the new blackberry came out and all I'm debating if I should switch phones. I have a 30 day warrenty correct as if I want to switch or anything? I'm thinking about either the MDA or the new Pearl that just came out. What I am really looking for is just a phone for texting, emailing, picture messaging, AIM etc. The reason why I went with the sidekick is because of the data plan ($20 for unlimited text, unlimited e-mail, unlimited picture, unlimited data, etc)
If I switched to the MDA/Blackberry would there be any kind of plan that is like this for these phones? I really do not want to be paying extra money for a data plan, hopefully there is one? When I bought my SK3, the store had the Pearls in stock but they couldn't show/sell til the 12th. He showed me his phone anyways and it was a pretty nice phone, small, sleek, and definately had all the gadgets. It says it's a qwerty keyboard, but I don't understand how it is when there are two letters on each button?
So although the SK3 is a good phone, just problems on connection going in and out and always searching is really making the phone basically useless for what I want it to do (sending text/browsing the internet/being on AIM/picture messaging/emailing) and I don't know if it's worth the $350 I payed for it. I feel that the Pearl/MDA might be a better phone for me, but the data plan for the sidekick makes up a lot.
