tmobile problem with a selection of phones

Hello all, I am on this forum nightly, but have never posted. I was hoping someone could give me some advice on my problem..

To make a long story short, I had an mda, then becasue of freezing and reception problems (people kept saying they were getting my voice mail) the only choice I go with was the dash. So they sent it to me.

Problem with the dash:
Don't know if anyone has experienced this, but if the phone freezes, my storage card becomes storage card 2 when the phone is turned back on. Meaning there is only 2 folders in my now created storage card. So bottom line, none of the programs work.
The fix to this, is a pain but I actually have to rename the storage card into something else, turn the phone off and then it back on. Then sc 2 becomes sc and voila my programs work again. I am on my second dash. (the tech at tmobile never heard of this and told me that by switching out the phone, the problem would be rectified. Guess what. ITS NOT. So after a lot of useless folders that cannot be deleted, I am dealing with it.
Now my bigger problem:
I need a touch screen phone. Not a smartphone, cause a lot of the programs that I would like to use (the reason from switching from the blackberry to begin with) needs a touch screen. tmobile only offers the mda. Been there done it, and now they do not offer anything else. They are giving me a tiny credit to find a unlocked gsm phone. Any ideas? I would also like it to have gps. lAlso, where should I look to get the best deal?
Thanks (sorry for the long post, but believe me this is the short version)

Have you considered looking at the HTC TyTn or P4350? The price of the TyTn and P4350 will vary between vendors and individuals who are selling them. I'm not sure how (and if) T-Mobile would credit you if you were to find one from an individual, but just check out either the Marketplace sub-forum or the Buy/Sell/trade sub-forum.

Here's a comparison of the two from GSMArena.

The P4350 I guess, in a way is a cheaper version of the TyTn. I'm going to sound like a broken record, but I love my 8525 (Cingular's version of the TyTn).
