Tmobile no longer allows phone to use Cingular towers???

My Tmobile phones will only let me use emergency service with Cingular towers, has anyone else experienced this also? Does anyone know why this is happening and how to fix it?

I've noticed it but only on select towers! The cingular tower 20 miles away I only get SOS but if I leave the state I can use cingular for phone calls not data! According to tmo they have an agreement with cingular to "share" towers!via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~

Well I am in Indiana, and I cant use them here anymore, and when I was up in Chicago, IL I couldnt use them there either. So I dunno but it stinks.

ive wonderd this also, where i live in louisana i only get sos or emergency only, while my friends with cingular have signal. i called tmobile and they said it should work because of the sharing of towers. still doesnt work though.

How in the world do you know what towers you are using at a given time?

I live in Charlotte, where there is no Tmobile service. I've been roaming on At&T (Cingular) for over 2 years now.

The reasoning is, the roaming agreements cover areas where Cingular has towers and TMO doesn't, so in those areas you roam no problem, and vise versa, in areas where TMO has towers and Cingular doesn't. The problem is in areas where the both have towers there is no Roaming agreement so there are dead spots, usally on TMOs side sadly.
