TMO on Blackberry Unlimited

Ok, I am a bit confused. I know what the emails, and internet part of the plan are. I also understand that the BB messenger is under data. Are either SMS/MMS free under the plan, if so which one and what is the difference. I have also used the yahoo and aim features, which used to be charged to a text count. But online it seems they are not are not being added to my running total at the TMO home page. I am new to this and don't wantto be shocked at the end of the month. Does Blackberry keep count then give the billing info to TMO. I never used the text on my past phones, and don't see much use for it now, the email works fine for my needs. In most cases any text I receive from phones other than BB are new people who dont know me and not into a texting game, I like to just call and get it over with. Email is a different story now I have the blackberry, thats pretty cool and useful. I have tried to figure out from the site at TMO what is part of the plan and what to expect as extra billed items. I have the Curve and it gives different options on how to send different messages from the SMS/MMS to email, or BB messenger. From on here I read the BB Pearl needed a data plan to send MMS messages if it does, then is it covered under the plan I have. Which goes back to the question, what is the diffence between SMS/MMS? Any info you can provide is helpful.

ok.

the only thing you will get charged extra for if you have the blackberry unlimited are sms (text messages) and mms (pictures, video, ringers, etc..).

think of the extra charges like a regular cell phone pretty much...let me know if youd like more details, okay?

Ok the way I understand it is this:

If you use the built in AIM, Yahoo, ICQ or MSN applications you will be using SMS/MMS units for each message you send or receive. IMs with the preloaded IM clients are SMS or MMS.

If you install an application like JiveTalk or IM+ you are using DATA to send and receive messages and they are not vharged to your text msg bank.

the 8320's preloaded RIM IM clients use DATA. only does the OZ clients (and some other 3rd party apps) use SMS....with he wont have to worry about because it will not be an option on his phone

~via BB (wap.rabroad.com)~
If you use the yahoo messenger from the rim website, that will also use data as well as google talk.

I am with tmo and I have a BB 8100 the only thing that you will be charged for us the.sms and mms the 3rd party appa mostly use data and you won't be charged for that but if they don't then you will
