TMNT Talkback "Turtles Forever" (Spoilers)

The director's cut is only 78 minutes actually, so it's only missing 8 minutes. And it's just random scenes that are cut for time...the movie still works without them. Someone posted a list of the deleted scenes somewhere in this thread, but I'm too lazy to search for them.
 
Wow, only 8 minutes. I think I remember them.

One was when Karia was showing how they would upgrade the base with Ultrom technology, 2 minutes or so were cut. Another one was when The Shredder was crushing the prime turtles, he himself was being erased. He then realizes he must destroy himself to destroy the turtlles. He goes forward and tries to crush them again.

There are much smaller edits, but these I remember were quite big edits.



Uh ... 4kids isn't making money on this as far as I know.
 
4kids does not own streaming rights to their shows outside of America, it would be illegal for them to have it available to other areas.
 
Considering the 4Kids stream has half a minute of credits and several spots of dead air (presumably where commercial breaks were spliced in), it's more like seven to seven and a half minutes of added footage. They do add a bit more reason to the plot, but it mostly just enhances the overall epicness of the film. So, including the credits, the uncut version of this movie was ~80 minutes long.

And, for the record, all versions of Turtles Forever (uncut, televised feature and episodic presentation) were widescreen. The 4kids streams aren't letterboxed either.
 
Something I wanted to post earlier, but just got around to doing today. The big critique for the movie stems from what appears to be the distain for the 80s cast and show.

The view is understandable, so I thought it be good to list any moments that gave the character their due. Ones that come to mind:
- While the Dimension X technology was ineffective, it was still able to aid with the plans made by 2003 Shredder.
- The mutagen also strengthened his men.
- The portal used by both Turtles team was made by 1987 Donatello.
- The 2003 Turtles state that being in the sewer with the 1987 Splinter felt right.
- It was Bebop and Rocksteady who defeated 2003 Shredder.

Any others that I missed?
 
That sounds about right, but it's easy to see the 88 'verse was portrayed as being useful despite its incompetence, compared to the 2K3 'verse just being useful.
 
I have to agree with Cybercubed on this one subject of jabbing at the turtles. The Primes jabbed at both of the sets due to their distance from the source. Heck, when the turtles got color, they all wore red bandanas, so I think it was more of a spirit of good comedy that jabs were there.
 
The ending reminds me of the story of the guy who survived Korea and Vietnam. Had medals all over his chest. Decorated war hero. Then he slipped and died in the bathroom.

Essentially, that's what happened to the Utrom Shredder.
 
While they tried to market it that way, it technically isn't related to the movie universe at all. TNM Splinter has both ears. There was another undeniable reason that this is yet another alternate continuity, but I forget ATM.
